We are hiring an Investigator for one of our clients in Hamilton, NJ .
Job Description:
Under close supervision of an Intelligence Analyst 3, or other supervisory official in the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, Department of Law and Public Safety, receives formal on-the-job training to learn how to conduct analytical research on highly sensitive and classified information and data retrieved from various sources or information developed from prior investigations or discovered to be linked to other types of investigations or information gathering activities. Learns how to assist in performing and conducting administrative and operations studies of organizations, corporations, businesses, groups, or ideologies that may have an allegiance to terrorist groups or organizations in the United States or abroad with assets or interests in New Jersey. Performs other related administrative assignments and responsibilities as delegated by superiors. Does other related duties as required.
Duties:
- Assisting with the collection and analysis of open source, social media, and intelligence databases/sites for information relevant to NHOHSP's intelligence collection plan (ICP) requirements;
- Developing law enforcement sensitive products based upon collected intelligence, analyzed for trends in counterterrorism for tactics, techniques and procedures, as well as coordinating with other Divisions within NJOHSP for cyber and counterintelligence analysis production;
- Writing intelligence reports based upon information collected that meets ICP requirements;
- Serving as back-up to NJOHSP's Reports Officer;
- Participating in the development/instruction/presentation of NJOHSP materials and participate in speaking engagements as directed that represent the goals of the Bureau and NJOHSP;
- Reviewing bias crime to determine relevance to NJSARS or the NJOHSP ICP;
- Assisting NJOSHP's Operations and Analysis Bureaus in tactical investigations and analysis;
- Increasing NJOHSP's customer base and seeking new partners for intelligence sources
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Political Science, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Economics, Homeland Security, or related areas of studies.
- NOTE: Applicants who possess a Juris Doctorate from a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association, and who have received credit for course work in international law, may substitute this degree for the required education.
- NOTE: Applicants who have completed a one (1) year (1800 hour) compensated/non-compensated internship with a Homeland Security Agency, federally subsidized Research Organization or Federal Agency with an intelligence mission, or State Police or Intelligence Fusion Center may apply this one (1) year internship as one (1) year of the Apprentice Program.
Work hours:
- 35 hours a week 8:00-4:00
- Lunch Hours - 1 Hour
