Salem Baptist Church, a growing multi-generational church located in North Knoxville, Tennessee, is prayerfully seeking their next Worship Pastor who has a strong passion for God and the things of God.  This is a vital role in the life of our church family.  The ideal fit will be one who from the overflow of a personal experience with God will lead the church family in passionate worship. Our musical style would be best summarized as blended progressive.The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent vocal and instrumental abilities and a commitment to building and leading a talented team of vocalists and instrumentalists. This candidate will have the creative ability to leverage technology as a part of a vibrant ministry. He will connect well with people as he facilitates life-changing worship. He will oversee all aspects of Salem’s worship ministries including but not limited to audio and video teams, video production, etc. This person will be the primary leader of our worship ministry and work with the Senior Pastor and Pastoral Staff in the creative and strategic needs of Salem.  A more detailed job description may be found online at What is the Lord doing through Salem during this season of ministry?

• Average Sunday morning worship attendance of ~800.
• Celebrated 150+ baptisms in 2023.
• Salem and the surrounding community is growing younger due to the emergence of new neighborhoods.
• We have local, national, and international mission partnerships.
• Salem is a highly relational church family and a relational leader is essential.
• Our staff team serves well together, has a high level of accountability and feedback, and yet is humble to never take the Lord’s favor for granted.
