Primary Job Functions:
General Responsibilities:
- Regularly monitors existing CMHC clinical outcome measurement activities and processes and works to correct or improve measures and targets
- Assists with regular monitoring of data with regards to functional performance; gathers, organizes, exports, and analyzes outcome data; and presents data in user-friendly formats
- Attends meetings and works collaboratively with other programs and departments to ensure identified processes are being followed and issues are being reported to quality department management
- Conducts research as needed for various programs, including topics of constructs, populations served, quality outcome measurements, and assessment tools
- Organizes and maintains library of screening, outcome, and performance measurement tools used by clinicians and providers
- Carries out functions related to integrated primary and behavioral health care, including attending meetings, application of health registry data, and implementation of whole health initiatives
- Assists with quality assurance and improvement activities and special projects as needed

Bachelor’s degree in health or mental health-related field with at least two years of experience or a master’s degree in health or mental health-related field with at least one year post master’s clinical experience. Knowledge of and experience with quality management and performance improvement preferred. Experience working in a behavioral or healthcare setting preferred. Must be computer proficient, detail-oriented, and have strong communication, planning, and time management skills. Must possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Knowledge in the areas below to be attained within three months of employment:
- Knowledgeable in the basic process of outpatient and inpatient services, including Access to Care, referral for services, substance abuse services, and residential services
- Knowledge of Alabama DMH and Medicaid standards and regulations
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, including Behavioral Healthcare and Ambulatory Care Accreditation
- Knowledge of awarded grant QI activities
- Knowledge of integrated care concepts and models of care
- Knowledge and understanding of basic psychometrics properties of outcome/assessment tools
