We have a client who is running some legacy IBM technology stacks and does not have a strong developer experienced with DataStage and Netezza Performance Server where most of the DataStage jobs are built with SQL and run from the scheduling functionality within DataStage.

Role Summary :
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled DataStage developer with robust experience in Netezza and a keen interest in cloud technologies particularly within the AWS ecosystem. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing data processing solutions supporting both current operational needs and future transitions. This role demands a flexible approach to work excellent development skills and the ability to adapt to a changing technology landscape all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop maintain and optimize data processing pipelines using DataStage.
2. Support and manage data solutions on Netezza and AWS cloud infrastructure.
3. Collaborate with the migration team and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and parallel running of data systems.
4. Utilize Jira Confluence and Slack to manage projects and communicate effectively within a remote work environment.

Requirements :

1. Proven experience as a DataStage developer with significant work on data processing and ETL tasks.
2. Strong background in handling data warehouses particularly experience with Netezza and familiarity with Snowflake.
3. Experience working with AWS cloud services understanding both nonproduction and production environments.
4. Ability to work flexibly within a marketing/retaildriven setting adjusting quickly to changing priorities.
5. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in Jira Confluence and Slack for remote collaboration.
6. A proactive teamoriented approach capable of working independently and as part of a diverse team.
