Job description
Job Summary:
+ Provides direction for, and is responsible for the output of multiple disciplines within Procure-to-Pay in support of multiple books of business.
+ Responsible for leading and directing multiple large, complex, and high diverse Supply Chain Procurement functions, and oversees the coordination/work of multiple subordinate managers and groups.
+ Manages, coaches, and oversees a large group of employees at various levels throughout the department.
+ Provides leadership over procurement, sourcing, and purchasing efforts to recommend and implement short term and strategic goals and objectives to improve on-time delivery, cost reduction, and quality of all assigned products, supplies, materials, and services. Interacts regularly with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish this work.
+ Responsible for developing, communicating, managing, and implementing corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets and for the development of policies and procedures to drive results.
+ Contributes to establishing strategic goals across the function. Possesses significant freedom to act in the short term.
+ Makes decisions, often based on limited information, that have a long-term impact across the functions.
+ Has the ability to effectively represent the organization to outside entities and is responsible for executing sourcing strategies on behalf of the organization.
Ideal Candidates Will Have a Combination of the Following:
+ Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience; Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience preferred
+ 7+ years of people management experience, including oversight and coaching of employees in various, multi-level roles
+ Proficient with MS Office products; experience with warehouse inventory management and related procurement systems
+ Procurement, sourcing and negotiation skills
+ Knowledge of outsourcing, international contracting and sourcing
+ Excellent analytical and project management skills and group facilitation skills
+ Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and effectively interact with senior leaders
+ Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
+ Excellent client relationship management skills
+ Supplier issue management ability and supplier assessment capabilities, including financial stability review
