Job description
Managing the federally-funded Highway Safety Improvement Program is the key responsibility of this position. Managing the Highway Safety Improvement Program includes the full life cycle of project and program management. From providing data analysis tools to assist in the identification of hot spot and systemic safety projects, managing the program funding application process, staffing the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) Safety Committee and working with the committee to get project applications approved. Assisting during the design phase of funded safety projects, participating in planning studies and serving as a safety subject matter expert and safety champion for NMDOT. Also manages contracts for consultant services.
