Job description

An amazing hospital on the Northern California Coast is in search of a new Radiation Therapy Manager.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oncology setting and in Acute Care, as well as valid RN or Radiology Technologist licensure. The Radiation Therapy Manager will report directly to the Cancer Program Director. This person will be supported by 2 assistant managers and multiple Senior Oncology RNs and Radiologic Techs, all working together to provide comprehensive care to this specific population of patients. This Manager will have the opportunity to continue growth and development of their career under the direction and mentorship of a great team in a world-class department.

 

This well developed Cancer Center consists of state of the art technology, servicing a 100+ bed hospital as well as patients being treated for their cancer in an outpatient setting. The Radiation Therapy Manager will join a department that is known for excellent care and playing a significant role in quality care and treatment.

 

The Radiation Therapy Manager will be in charge of overseeing that radiation oncology care provided by staff is efficient and thorough.  This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the Director of the Cancer Center and physicians to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. The Radiation Therapy Manager will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives. 

 

The hospital is located in an area known for its breathtaking sunsets and view of the coast.  This hospital is close to a multitude of beaches, hiking trails, and recreational areas if the Radiation Therapy Manager is someone who loves nature and the outdoors.  This is a prime area to experience all four seasons, making it possible to enjoy sunny summers and snow filled winters, as well as breathtaking autumns and enchanting springs.
