The Specialized Servicing and Fulfillment Operations (SSFO) organization is a dynamic organization committed to delivering best-in-class care for clients and internal partners. The SSFO Control Tower, Reporting & Monitoring team provides foundational solutions to reporting for our operations teams and proactive analytics to help support the evolution of the client experience. The team is responsible for recurring and ad-hoc reporting & analytical support for the organization.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to data / reporting and analytical support. Associate will be responsible for developing control reporting utilizing multiple database platforms. Must have the ability to understand and manage data relationships across different systems. This role requires the ability to develop and own end to end processes, maintain existing code, analyze report requirements, and develop based on reporting needs using Tableau, SAS, SSRS, ETL Process and/or other technology recommended BI Tools. Knowledge of financial business workflows, fundamental data structure, and variety of data environments such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop and SQL Server is a plus. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and work across multiple teams to support various initiatives. Self motivated, responsible, and due diligence are key drivers to be successful in this role.
Required skills:
• 3+ years of data and/or reporting experience
• Proficiency in SQL (2+ years experience with T-SQL, HIVE, IMPALA, and/or PL/SQL)
• Scripting and automation experience: SAS, Visual Studio, SSIS, TOAD, and/or Excel
• Experience with Enterprise Databases; MS SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, and/or Teradata and Data Mining Experience using SQL/SAS querying
• Must have strong data orientation and analytic skills, demonstrating strong, basic statistical skills, as well as the ability to apply a combination of inductive and deductive reasoning to examine information, interpret results and arrive at well founded, logical conclusions
• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to roll up sleeves, run reports, review data, make recommendations around more efficient processes/procedure, etc.
• Drive for execution with strong attention to detail; delivers polished work product with high quality in a timely manner – flawless execution is non-negotiable. All data needs to be accurate
• Takes initiative and is a self-starter
• Organized – strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities with lifespans of anywhere from an hour to a year depending on the deliverable
• Motivated - have an aptitude to learn quickly under pressure and be self-motivated
• Ability to work well within a team and independently with proven effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage within tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Ability to translate high level business requirements into technical data requirements
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentations)
Desired skills:
• Experience with Tableau is highly desired
• Knowledge and experience in Specialized Servicing and Fulfillment Operations (SSFO) functional areas
• High aptitude for self-motivation and self-determined project work
• ETL process experience using TOAD Automation, SSIS, SAS, or other data processing tools
• Consumer Operations Data Mart (CODM) experience
• SDP HADOOP experience
• Professional experience as a data scientist / analyst / statistician is a plus
• MSP experience
• Financial LOB workflow knowledge
• Experience with Python
• Cross platform data source experience, such as Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Teradata
• Alteryx Designer
• Effective listening, comprehension and negotiation skills
• Working knowledge of general bank policies and standards
• Developing new ideas and new approaches to old ideas
