Job Summary
Pittsburgh, PA | Ligonier
- Start Date: Early April
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5pm; Guaranteed 40 hours/week, some occasional weekend/evening hours needed | Schedule known 2-3 months in advance
- Hourly Rate: $18-22
- Children: 4-year-old
- Pets: Minibernedoodle
- Paid Vacation: One week family’s choice, one week nanny’s choice, 3 sick/personal days, all major holidays
Responsibilities and Duties
- WHO/WHAT: Are you a flexible nanny who wants lots of hours? Is your vibe the more “holistic homesteading hippie” than “urban jungle preppy?” This ultra-chill couple is hoping to add to their current family of three and seek a long-term nanny who’ll help them balance work and home life. Both parents work full-time with Dad working from home part of the time, and Mom anticipates starting an extra demanding job this spring. Typically, you’ll work Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm but sometimes, your shift will switch to cover evening hours and weekends. This is a guarantee, so please be on board with the availability flex. Even better if you also enjoy variety in your tasks, because you’ll get plenty of that in this versatile go-with-the-flow role! Of course, the main character in your workday story will always be the handsome four-year-old boy. He loves learning about dinosaurs, playing with cars, and is quite the budding artist, so get your easel ready because you’ll do a ton of painting together. While he’s at school or otherwise preoccupied, you’ll run the gamut on tasks that keep this house in order. This includes grocery shopping, laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming and sweeping, running errands, and assisting with healthy meal prep. There are no allergies, you will need to drive using your own vehicle for school drop offs and pick ups, and there’s an eight-month-old minibernedoodle who’ll need the occasional walk. This role is ideal for someone with a ton of energy but who appreciates—and contributes to—a patient, peaceful demeanor. For the right nanny, this position could extend for years.
