About the Role & Program
Would you like to strengthen your production skills and knowledge in television animation? Join us for an opportunity to be a part of Disney Television Animation (DTVA) as a Production Admin Intern! DTVA is an industry leader in the creation of animated television products for preschoolers, kids, and tweens. The studio brings programming and production expertise together under the same leadership as Disney Channels Worldwide. If selected for this opportunity, you will report directly to the Artist Manager.
What You Will Do
As a Production Admin Intern for DTVA, you will learn the inner workings of the creative and production side of the organization. You will gain insight into the world of storytelling through exposure to a writer’s room, storyboard pitches, casting (recording/ADR session), script breakdown, tracking artwork, and to the post-production process including calling retakes and attending mix/playback to delivery.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Learning the day-to-day process of managing production & post-production on series through development, prep, production and post-production.
Get familiar with and maintain production related documents.
Attend and help set up internal meetings and meetings with our productions.
Desk coverage: answering phones, managing schedules, scheduling meetings as needed.
Administrative and office duties including ordering supplies, processing Start Paperwork, general document distribution, and maintaining production documents.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience using MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong interest and passion for animation
Strong curiosity in television and the entertainment industry
Knowledge of Disney Television Animation content
Must be highly organized and detail oriented
A passion for production and post-production
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship experience within a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through August 2024
Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
