Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings):
Develop Akamai Cloud architecture, design and research new technologies, and decide how to extend or improve the system and introduce new features and capabilities. Lead the architectural roadmap of our Cloud platform. Build and develop our own Cloud Management API running on top of serverless platform. Assist with extending Kubernetes with developing custom Kubernetes operators in Go. Develop with cutting edge tech such as Serverless Application, ArgoCD (GitOps), Kubernetes Native Operators (custom resources) and more. Perform cloud environment application design using object oriented programming and test-driven development principles. Solve complex engineering problems and lead the design of our SaaS Solution. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.[AG0874]

Required Qualification:
Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus eight (8) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related software engineering role.
Must have four (4) years of experience in the following skills: Golang, distributed systems or databases, elastic search, Cassandra, and Python.
Compensation:
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $149122-$238744/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
