Position Summary:

Working under the supervision of Police Sergeant and or Lieutenant, the academic support specialist provides help with a broad range of office responsibilities and maintains the daily needs of the police department offices. The academic support specialist’s main function is to provide professional support to the police department.

Under the direction of the Police Sergeant and Lieutenant, the Academic Support Specialist is responsible for providing professional support to the police department through effective performance in these essential duties:

Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in a related field and relevant office experience.
