ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Dispatch Manager coordinates the utilization of trucks, trailers, drivers, and containers in order to maximize capacity and productivity, while assuring prompt and effective service to customers.

1. Prints Load summaries for all load crews and drivers.
2. Troubleshoots logistics issues inclusive but not limited to load issues. For all branches after hours
3. Coordinates with Fleet for maintenance of vehicles
4. Maintains tracking of the location of all trailers
5. Reports driver problems to the appropriate department or supervisor for resolution
6. Analyzes the way trucks are loaded, assuring they are within weight restrictions as well as DOT hours
7. Comply with all federal and state transportation laws
8. Plans loading of new accounts onto trucks
9. Communicates load information to branches
10. Assists with rerouting of routes
11. Assists Dispatch Manager as needed
12. Participates in training and continued learning as required
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1-3 years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Requires organization skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high profile and fast paced environment
• Requires basic math skills
• Requires basic computer skills including Micro Soft Office with the ability to learn new programs as needed
• Requires ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization
• May require certification to operate a forklift (company may provide)
• Ability to make solid analytical decisions.
