Overview
The Digital Product Leader assumes a crucial role in creating high-value experiences for SGWS customers, suppliers, and users. Product Leadership roles work closely with their lead counterparts in design, software engineering, and agile orchestration to maximize the value we create for users, and the enterprise with the digital product team. This individual will own the Order Assistant product within Proof Commerce. This high visibility and complex role will help customers collaborate with sales teams and multi-location buying representatives to more easily and efficiently build their orders. We want to leverage smart recommendations to help customers complete their orders with ease and confience, helping them be more efficient and grow their business with Southern Glazers. This role reports to a Digital Portfolio Lead who is responsible for ultimate alignment across the product teams within the portfolio to the end users’ greatest needs and opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a product vision that revolves around optimizing customer reach and sales conversions across diverse channels
- Drive joint solutions with team beyond classical thinking in term of “business” or “technology”.
- End-to-end implementation of the digital product and managing risks, driving adoption, and reducing reliance on legacy tools over time
- Running pilots, proving value and viability, and creating buy-in to invest in the products.
- Drive highest possible adoption of digital capabilities by translating the product vision into actionable epics and user stories, with a focus on seamless omni-channel experiences and real-time product/pricing strategies
- Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of eCommerce platforms and strategies, utilizing metrics to measure reach, conversion rates, and customer retention
- Effectively communicate eCommerce priorities, progress, and changes to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Curate and refine the product team's backlog, giving priority to features that enhance AI-powered personalization, recommendation systems, and real-time data display
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Establish best practices and standards to engage with customers to gain insights into their evolving needs, challenges, and feedback on the shopping experience
- Focus on outcome and seamless user experiences over any specific technology; Driving tech-agnostic solutions
- Compressing project timelines through Agile ways of working and rigorous prioritization
- Navigate the organization to remove obstacles for the product teams Critically assessing existing capabilities to understand build vs. buy approach
- Launching and phasing solutions utilizing agile methodologies to build internal efficiencies and scalable technology development
- Continually practice a shift in mindset from “requirements” to continuous improvement of the problem’s solution
- Accountable for measurable outcomes that ladder up to company objectives and business results.
- Work with cross-functional teams of designers, full-stack engineers, architects, data scientists, DevSecOps, platform teams, to drive modular service-oriented solutions that leverage and create data assets
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years in digital product management leading complex products & experiences which drive business performance and/or have successful widespread user adoption and utilization.
- Develops user-centric product strategies to ensure maximum utilization and increasing desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing product teams to achieve desired outcomes for their users and works with complementary and contributing product teams to stay ahead of potential dependencies and constraints.
- Experience with AI/ML products shaping product and customer lifecycle recommendations
- Deep expertise in driving an organization's shared digital product excellence.
- Proven capacity to follow and contribute to user-oriented product strategy, manage large-scale and high-impact digital products, lead medium-sized teams with strong, experienced contributors, drive strategic digital initiatives, ensure tech-agnostic solutions, and drive product velocity and accomplishment of outcomes via team leadership and Agile methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies which best suit Order Assistant
- Experience with agile development teams and workflows within JIRA or similar systems.
- Strong data-driven decision-making capabilities, particularly in understanding online shopping behaviors.
