We are a national nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of LGBTQIA+ cancer survivors and individuals at risk. Our mission is to educate, advocate, and train healthcare providers to better serve our communities. At our core, we're committed to fostering inclusivity and combating health disparities.

Position Overview:

As a Project Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our team, collaborating closely with the Projects Director. You'll spearhead training and technical assistance initiatives, supported by a grant from the CDC. Your focus will be on preventing and controlling tobacco-related cancers in special populations, with a special emphasis on LGBTQIA+ communities.

What You'll Do:

Project Management: Take charge of project scope, timelines, and objectives. Keep stakeholders updated and ensure smooth execution within budget.

Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of respect and collaboration within the team. Participate in the hiring process and contribute to a positive work environment.

Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date on LGBTQ+ health research. Develop and deliver impactful trainings. Partner with the team to monitor progress and collect data.

Communication and Reporting: Coordinate meetings, communicate effectively, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Logistics and Partner Relations: Handle logistics efficiently. Maintain communication with partners and fulfill commitments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience in delivering LGBTQ+ trainings in tobacco or cancer
Proficiency in web platforms and project management software
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to social justice and health equity
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000, based on experience and location. Our benefits package includes fully paid health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, retirement plan matching, generous paid time off, remote work options, and more.
