Instructional Design Specialist II (Corporate Learning & Development) Location Broomfield, CO : Are you a bold thinker? Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL—designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations. As an Instructional Design Specialist II, you will be using your skills and expertise to expand our in-house learning programs and practices including identifying learning needs, creating training that skills our employees for more responsible positions, and increasing effectiveness of training. You'll be responsible for creating e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and training reference materials. You'll also be responsible for developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of our training. You will have opportunity to work with an experienced team of learning professionals and to expand your experience in Adult Learning Theory, e-learning methods, project management, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) management. In this role, you will be expected to focus on refining the design of training using Instructional Design best practices. As part of Sierra Space's Corporate Team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications. Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Psychology, Instructional or Graphic Design, or related field of study and typically 3+ years of related work experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Extensive knowledge of Instructional Design and Adult Learning principles
- Experience working with high level stakeholders and SMEs.
- Experience managing training projects from analysis to evaluation.
- Strong working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate)
- Basic experience with LMS (Workday Learning, Cornerstone, etc.)
Preferred: - Strongly Desired- Experience in developing training for software systems, including large scale implementations of new software systems.
- Learning or Instructional Design Certificate (e.g. Adult Learning Certificate, ATD Instructional Design Certificate, etc.)
- Experience with audio and/or video production
- Experience creating compliance or process training in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience managing high level stakeholders and SMEs.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $68,926.06 - $103,389.09 Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
