Maximus is currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Case Manager to support the California Recovery Program. This program is a monitoring program for people with chemical dependency.

**This is a remote position located in California, with some travel required and on-call crisis coverage one week per month.**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Manages participants through their period of participation in the Program by monitoring overall program compliance, oversight of recovery activities, recommendations for treatment, and liaison with the Board. - Conducts remote, telephonic assessment and reassessments of healthcare professional licensees to evaluate their status, overall compliance with program requirements, and progress in recovery. - Contacts the participant, the appropriate Board/Committee (or their designee) or treatment providers, facilities and labs in response to participant non-compliance with the Program Agreement. - Meets with applicant/participant telephonically weekly until seen by Review Committee, and monthly thereafter, to review compliance and progress in recovery. - Responds to incoming calls on the toll-free line, as needed, and after-hour, weekend, and holiday calls on a rotating basis with other Program staff. - Evaluates incoming information submitted by treatment providers, facilities, participants, and labs to monitor participant's progress and compliance with the Program Agreement. - Reviews data in the History and Profile (H&P) reports to ensure accuracy prior to submission to Program Managers (PMs). - Works on issues where analysis of situation and of data requires review of relevant factors: Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. - Engages in quality assurance monitoring and evaluation for the Program, as necessary. ? Minimum Requirements: - Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Behavioral Science, or related field strongly preferred. - 3 - 5 years of experience in a behavioral health care setting related to chemical dependency, recovery, and/or mental illness required. - Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment. - Ability to work as a team member as well as independently. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information. ?
Primary Responsibilities: - Manage participants through their period of participation in the Recovery Program by monitoring overall program compliance, oversight of recovery activities, recommendations for treatment, and liaison with the Board
- Serve as liaison for assigned Board/Committee and their designee (Recovery Program Manager, (RPM), Evaluation Committee (EC) Case Consultant, EC Chair)
- Respond to incoming calls on the toll-free line, as needed, and after-hour, weekend, and holiday calls on a rotating basis with other Recovery Program staff
- Prepare Recovery Agreements
- Conduct remote, telephonic assessment and reassessments of healthcare professional licensees to evaluate their status, overall compliance with program requirements, and progress in recovery
- Evaluate incoming information submitted by treatment providers, facilities, participants, and labs to monitor participant's progress and compliance with the Recovery Agreement
- Demonstrate ability to evaluate and interpret random drug test results and take appropriate action when a positive drug test result is received
- Contact the participant, the appropriate Board/Committee (or their designee) or treatment providers, facilities and labs in response to participant non-compliance with the Recovery Agreement
- Meet with applicant/participant telephonically weekly until seen by Review Committee, and monthly thereafter, to review compliance and progress in recovery
- Ensure time requirements are met in regard to all Recovery Program policies, procedures and contract performance standards
- Compile, produce, review and ensure timely distribution of the History and Profile (H&P) reports prior to submission to Recovery Program Managers (RPMs)
- Review Monthly Compliance/Non-Compliance reports and letters, as well as other reports and correspondence, as required
- Produce other reports and letters as requested, including the "Letter of Successful Completion."
- Attend and presents clinical case input at EC and review committee meetings
- Attend and presents at other meetings as required, including educational presentations and conferences
- Work on issues where analysis of situation and of data requires review of relevant factors: Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
- Engage in quality assurance monitoring and evaluation for the Recovery Program, as necessary
- Meet all standards established for this position
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management
- Travel up to 5 times quarterly with some travel being 1-2 nights away
Minimum Requirements: - Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years' clinical experience working in treatment of substance use disorder (SUD)
- 2 years Case Management in a mental health/substance abuse setting preferred
- Current and unrestricted licensure in the state of California required: RN
- Class C Driver's License, reliable vehicle, proof of insurance
- Must have computer literacy, including a strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

- 3 years of clinical experience working in treatment of substance use disorder (SUD)

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
