General Summary The Manager, Data Analytics is a highly technical position responsible for managing and maintaining Corporate Planning’s analytical tools and data, primarily related to the Managerial ERP and related systems, such as Amazon Redshift, Tableau and OFSAA (PL/SQL). This team member should be able to work effectively with other functional areas, assisting the Corporate Planning department in its role as the “control tower” for the company as it relates to setting and monitoring revenue and sales targets, expense budgets, and KPI's.
Duties And Responsibilities - Manage the design, development, analysis, testing, implementation, and enhancements required to meet business objectives. Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze requirements and implement appropriate system changes to ensure that the Managerial ERP system is aligned with corporate objectives and goals.
- Design, develop and maintain reporting related to the Managerial ERP and other Corporate Planning systems and data repositories. In addition, coordinate with other technical team members, both internally and in IT & CDO, to test, analyze, implement, and manage system projects.
- Perform the monthly technical closing process for the Managerial ERP, consisting of running batch processes in the OFSAA system and performing technical validation of script execution.
- Support the monthly OEM Billing technical processes for both Subvention and Residual Enhancement, including the generation of the initial, final and mid-month invoices, along with oversight of the data validation process and the transfer of billing data to our OEM partners, along with the RV true-up process.
- Provide general user support, including training and maintenance of required application and process documentation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Skills - Outstanding Business acumen.
- Strong SQL querying and PL/SQL programming skills. Experience using Oracle OFSAA a plus, but not required.
- Ability to create and maintain Tableau reporting and corresponding datasets.
- Understanding of Amazon Redshift data environment and familiarity with Python programming language.
- IT Project management skills are desired.
- Must be able to establish a high level of credibility with all levels of internal operations and external clients, both technical and non-technical.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
- Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Vizio and PowerPoint).
- Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity, creativity, and good judgment.
- Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices.
- General accounting knowledge and understanding of business, accounting, and financial planning processes, as well as a solid understanding of data in financial services organizations and associated technologies, strongly desired.
- Understanding of financial/managerial reporting and forecasting, and product and segment profitability analysis in a consumer lending or auto finance company would also be preferred, but not necessary.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in system design, development, testing and implementation.
- Experience with implementations of large-scale enterprise financial applications desired.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and planning systems and processes.
- Hands-on experience with development and support of Tableau reporting.
- Extensive experience with languages such as PL/SQL, SAS or VBA required, as well as experience with Amazon Redshift database environment and structured programming languages such as Python, preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment across multiple functions and several dynamic projects with a track record of effective collaboration across functions/divisions/business groups.
- Major consulting firm / auto industry experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required. BA/BS Accounting / Computer Science / Business / MIS (or equivalent work experience to substitute for education) from a highly rated school
Physical Requirements And Working Condition Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
