Accounting Intern

G.E. Mechanical, LLC is a leading full-service mechanical contractor, headquartered in Vineland, NJ

and serves all of South Jersey and parts of Central New Jersey. G.E. Mechanical provides a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial, industrial, and residential customers. Family operated since 1984, G.E. As an Accounting Intern, you will work directly with the Finance department:

• Supporting the accounts payable process by processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining vendor records.
• Assisting in accounts receivable tasks, including creating invoices, monitoring customer payments, and reconciling accounts.
• Reconciling bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering data into accounting software.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Detail oriented/organized
• Strong communication
• Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiar with safety compliance (OSHA knowledge preferred)
• Must be currently enrolled in a NJ accredited degree / IHE program

Internship Requirements Include:

20 hours per week for 10 weeks between May and August (schedule will be determined upon hire)

$20.00 / hour
