The Division of Regional Hospital-Based Services (Regional HBS) of Children’s National Hospital (CNH) has exciting opportunities for Neonatologists and Pediatric Newborn Hospitalists to join a dynamic team that serves children in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. Regional HBS provides care for patients at 8 hospitals across the region and has a national reputation for excellence in newborn medicine. Our sites vary in their scope of patient care and there is flexibility with the open positions to work at one or a combination of the sites below.
Sentara Northern Virginia, Woodbridge, VA –
Neonatologist: TALEO REQUISITION - 220002YN
Pediatric Hospitalist: TALEO REQUISITION- 220001QS
Provides 24/7 in-house coverage at an affiliated community hospital – 12 and 24 hour shifts available. Clinical coverage includes a newborn nursery (~1500 deliveries/year), a 14-bed Level II NICU, deliveries, and newborn consultations as needed in the ED. EPIC EMR. Transport support by the Children’s National Hospital team to higher acuity
Stone Springs Hospital Center, Dulles, VA -
Pediatric Hospitalist: TALEO REQUISITION - 220002BX
Provides 24/7 in-house coverage at an affiliated community hospital. Clinical coverage includes a newborn nursery (~1200 deliveries/year), a 4-bed Level II NICU, deliveries, and pediatric consultations as needed in the ED. This is an HCA hospital which uses Meditech for documentation. Phone consultation and transport support by the Children’s National Neonatology group at Reston Hospital Center Washington and/or Children’s National Hospital main campus in Washington, D.C.
Tidal Health | Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD –
Neonatologist: TALEO REQUISITION- 220001QV
Work 1 week, off 2 weeks on the Eastern Shore of Maryland! During week on, provides 24/7 in-house coverage at an affiliated community hospital: NNP and/or hospitalist help with seeing nursery patients – Clinical coverage includes a newborn nursery (~2000 deliveries/year), a 10-bed Level II NICU, deliveries, and newborn consultations as needed in the ED. EPIC EMR. Transport support by the Children’s National Hospital or Baltimore facilities team to higher acuity.
Applicants should have excellent communication and leadership skills, willingness to work in a community environment, interest in evidence-based care and process improvement and enjoy working collaboratively with families and others on the healthcare team.
