Job description
The opportunity: An opportunity to work for a large, multi-national Construction Materials company, this role will be responsible for leading all environmental and land duties for their cement plant operation. You will work be a trusted member of site leadership team and consult / guide them on ensuring the plant operates within compliance of environmental regulations, permits and agencies.

- Carry out environmental reporting and environmental performance analysis
- Possess an adept technical knowledge of environmental matters
Core Responsibilities:
- Environmental permitting
- Environmental compliance
- Air, waste & water sampling / records
- Keep track of laws, regulations, permits and ensure we have appropriate solutions in place to mitigate any potential risks
- Environmental audits
- Planning - short, medium and long
- Develop and improve environmental systems
- Training, coaching, mentoring of plant staff
Key Requirements:
- Degree educated - Environmental related field
- Industry experience - Mining, Cement, Aggregates, Construction
- Excellent communication skills
- Interaction with environmental agencies and regulators
- Technical knowledge and expertise in environmental matters
- Experience in permitting, regulations and state laws
- Valid driving license
