Who will you be working with?

The Information Technology Business Operations team’s vision is to establish how Wabtec IT effectively executes and sustains the business strategy. Our team defines and implements strategic processes and solutions for the Enterprise Information Technology organization to deliver maximum business value.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Information Technology Operations team, you will be responsible for IT financial processes and strategic cost optimization initiatives. As IT Financial management lead, your focus is to develop standards and processes to manage the Information Technology spend, enhance cost visibility, transparency and ensure alignment to business value. One key immediate priority is to define the strategy and roadmap for a cost optimization program to systematically identify, prioritize and select options to reduce IT expenditures, optimize resource utilization and maximize business impact.

What do we want to know about you?

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred disciplines).

· Minimum five years of experience working in one or more of the following fields: finance, accounting, budgeting, business administration, or another related field.

· Advanced knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.

· Expert skills and in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of financial planning and analysis, budgetary systems, and organizational management.

· Maintains excitement for a process and drives to new directions of meeting the goal in the face of unfavorable odds and setbacks.

· Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to complex problems, understanding potential impacts to processes and related IT systems supporting the company.

· Demonstrated ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment.

· Proven track record of setting targets, executing a plan, and delivering results.

· Effectively handle ambiguity in all aspects of work, including business direction and strategy.

· Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance and effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

What will your typical day look like?

· Ensure all processes and methodologies relating to IT cost management are in harmony with the required governance from Finance. Deliver training and support to the Information Technology team on processes, systems, and best practices.

· Define strategy and scope for cost optimization discipline. Drive the program and regularly track and report progress and wins.

· Define ideas, recommendations, and roadmaps to mature IT financial management practices.

· Support annual budgeting process, assess cost performance versus industry peers, discuss variances and propose go-forward strategies.

· Streamline investment governance through benefit tracking processes, alignment of investments to key priorities and close financial oversight.

· Improve IT cost transparency for business IT, shadow IT and corporate IT budgets.

· Manage budget for the Information Technology Business Operations team and other IT areas if required.

· Meet deadlines under pressure.

· Travel occasionally for work.
