QUALITY & SANITATION SPECIALIST:

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Quality and Sanitation Specialist will be responsible for managing all quality aspects of the production site and ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with 21CFR111 and cGMP requirements. This role will schedule, forecast, and track tasks from the Jushi Quality Management System (QMS). This opportunity must portray Specialist skills like KPIs, Interdepartmental communications, Regulatory and In-house audit, and Managing a QMS designed for the Cannabis Industry.

• Participate in the overall review and audit of the Quality Assurance Program to promote continual improvement.
• Audit site documents, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Production Records, Process Flows, and associated records.
• Communicate with LMS trainings that are required at the site based on audit results
• Audit the quality of incoming raw materials.
• Provide service to Production in order to achieve overall company objectives while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Audit cGMP principles, at all stages of the production process.
• Communicate Quality events to National Quality and assist in troubleshooting of existing systems, equipment, and processes to improve overall product quality and food safety.
• Provide quality guidance to employees.
• Responsible for executing the internal audit program (to CCB and ISO 9001 standards).
• Responsible for effectively communicating and escalating product quality problems to management
• Responsible for ensuring a state of cGMP readiness for the site that ensures successful regulatory inspections.
• Independent review and approval of batch record documentation, including validation protocols, master batch records, analytical test results, packaging, and labeling documentation.
• Lead, coordinate and monitor the Quality Control program. (COA evaluation)
• Inspecting the facility to determine sanitation protocols.
• Designing and implementing sanitation polices and protocols.
• Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules.
• Creating and distributing work schedules for the sanitation staff members.
• Performing daily inspections of the entire facility and reporting any irregularities with the use of swabs, media plates and monitoring equipment.
• Monitoring the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Training sanitation workers and organizing refresher workshops for existing staff.
• Verify sanitation documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Partner with EHS to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, material handling and ergonomic requirements.
• Maintain sanitation Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure the sanitation program efficiency.
• Determining efficacy of sanitation protocols via environmental monitoring procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor degree of Science in any field required, Master of Science degree preferred.  
• Minimum of 5 years Quality Assurance experience
• Experience working with regulatory policies and procedures.
• Experience working in a regulated environment or on a team with ISO 9001 certification desired.
• Experience with cGMP, 21CFR111, and 21CFR 110/117 desired.
