CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Fire Protection Designer to join our Fire Protection Services Team at our office in Coral Springs, FL or Tampa, FL.
CHA offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to address the most challenging fire risks. Our approach involves adapting strategies and solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of buildings and the environment, while promoting safety and efficiency.
The Fire Sprinkler Designer is able to evaluate, understand, and confirm the required scope of work on the project in relation to the contract documents. This professional identifies any areas of concern and/or opportunities for Value Engineering and improvement. The Fire Sprinkler Designer is able to apply knowledge of codes to the specifics of the Contract Documents to develop the requirements of the work at the least overall cost and risk. The professional in this role also assists in the development of RFIs to provide for errors, omissions, and clarifications as necessary while establishing entitlement for any added scope of work.
The Fire Sprinkler Design works closely with the Project Manager to develop the fire protection system layouts in accordance with the contract documents and code requirements. The individual in this key role performs hydraulic calculations in accordance with the contract documents and code requirements and assist in the preparation of Material & Equipment Submittals. The ideal candidate would be someone who maintains a positive attitude and is passionate about advancing their technical knowledge in our industry. The individual in this role clearly articulates concepts and directions as well as serves as the main point of contact when dealing with the owner, general contractor vender, and internal customers.
