The Art Director (Social Media & Digital Content) is a true digital native, who will collaborate closely with the Group Creative Director and Copywriter (along with the broader Creative and Production teams) to ideate and craft innovative social-first design concepts. The Art Director is a creative hybrid, deeply embedded in the design culture, lives and breathes social media and can bring forth quick-turn design solutions that resonate with diverse audiences for all current and emerging digital and social channels.
You will report to the Production Director.
This is a Full-Time role.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with Copywriter partners and the larger creative team to conceptualize and deliver compelling social-first creative concepts tailored for Disney audiences.
- Craft outstanding content for all digital and social channels, ensuring every piece echoes the ethos of the brand and aligns with our overarching creative strategy.
- Interpret creative briefs, integrate feedback from clients and partners, and ensure the final output is both engaging and reflective of the client's vision.
- Ensure projects remain on track, deadlines are met, and the quality of work remains uncompromised.
- Guide photographers, designers, directors, editors, and other vendors, ensuring alignment of vision and quality in the creative output.
- Construct cohesive creative presentations, effectively communicate your ideas, and engage with internal partners with confidence and clarity.
- Stay updated on Disney's rich history while also being at the forefront of design trends, especially within the social and digital world.
- Maintain proficiency in ever-evolving social platform functionalities.
- Deliver refined creative concepts for internal presentations that you will later execute.
- Take mentorship from Senior Creatives, ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years within a digital agency, emphasizing hands-on social media content creation or relevant experience.
- Proven capability in ideating for the digital and social landscape.
- Outstanding design and comping abilities, with a keen eye for typography and photography.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring every piece you produce is of the highest standard.
- Genuine curiosity about the Walt Disney Company's rich history – from films and animation to television and theme parks.
- Materials Required for Consideration: An outstanding portfolio showcasing your narrative prowess and a CV is mandatory. (please submit with application and provide any necessary passwords)
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Knowledge of After Effects and 3D is a significant plus.
Education
- Ad school or liberal arts (4-year) degree is preferred.
- A minimum of an associate's (2-year) degree in advertising, art, graphic art, or design.

The base salary for this position in Glendale, CA is $92,800.00 to $124,400.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
