JOB TITLE: Stamping (Komatsu) Operator
DEPARTMENT: Stamping
REPORT TO: Manufacturing Supervisor
WAGE CATEGORY: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking a Stamping Operator for our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate is responsible to produce first-time quality parts at established production standards while operating the Komatsu & Upset equipment. Are you the one we are looking for?
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One year of production/manufacturing experience operating equipment
- Troubleshooting/mechanical experience preferred
- This job requires a basic command of the English language
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Must understand the metric system of measurements
- Must understand the use of measuring instruments, including calipers, electronic weight scales, and rulers
- Must have previous experience with machine set and troubleshooting of machine issues
Essential Functions
- Maintain proper safety procedures when operating equipment
- Load material (coils) approximately 12-15 times per day to maintain machine operation
- Pack parts as required per standard
- Inform group leader or team leader of any potential problems that relate to safety, quality, or productivity
- Conduct change over as needed
- Perform other assignments as directed by shift supervisor
- Perform visual inspections of materials and finished products per visual standards.
- Perform daily housekeeping (5S) duties within department
- Use measurement gauges to perform required quality control checks to verify part specification is met
- Record QC data per third party certification documentation and SPC requirements
- Order production components and supplies from warehouse
- Accurately record production, scrap, and defect information
- Authority to stop production as it relates to quality issues
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance
- Must have the ability to stand for at least 8 hours per day
- Must have the ability to bend and reach multiple times per day
- Must have the ability to effectively hold & utilize small hand tools and fasteners
- Must be able to visually detect small defects in production materials
- Must be able to hear buzzers, horns, and/or warning signals emitted by production equipment
