Job description
**Job Summary:**
The Outside Account Manager sells electrical products and services, builds customer relationships, and identifies growth opportunities.
**Responsibilities:**
- Be the main contact for assigned accounts.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships.
- Generate new business and expand the account base.
- Showcase product offerings and create sales contracts.
- Set goals, manage budgets, and stay informed about industry trends.
- Participate in sales activities, training, and events.
- Collaborate with team members and report feedback to management.
- Educate customers on company policies and handle tasks effectively.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the electrical industry.
- Product knowledge, communication skills, and negotiation abilities.
- Independent and team player with time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, analytical, and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to present, lift up to 25 lbs., and travel within a specific area.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Position is primarily sedentary (75%).
- Work safely at various locations and lift packages up to 25 lbs. or more.
- Required travel within a specific geographic area.
