About The Team

• The Database team, nestled within Clover Infrastructure, shoulders the responsibility of managing, scaling, and maintaining our expansive SQL deployments in the cloud.
• We're not just about the present; we're shaping the future of databases, with a keen eye on cloud technologies promising enhanced scalability, management simplicity, and performance boosts.
• We're not lone wolves; we're part of a guild of engineers, collaborating with developers to co-design database strategies and meet their specific needs.
• Performance and technology stack maintenance? That's on our daily checklist.

What You Will Do

• Regularly implement database schema changes, ensuring zero downtime.
• Manage and execute migrations of customer data between shards.
• Initiate new database clusters/shards to accommodate growing customer data.
• Dive deep into performance issues, offering optimal solutions and suggestions.
• Automate routine DBA tasks.
• Join the DBA team on-call rotation, ensuring seamless operations.

What You Will Need To Have

• A BS in Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering. (MS would be a cherry on top!)
• 5+ years diving deep into MySQL - think architecture, replication, sharding, monitoring, troubleshooting, and backups.
• A 2-year rendezvous with cloud-native persistence models for SQL.
• A solid grasp of Cloud providers and their capabilities.
• An evident understanding of Network constructs and Network security.
• A good handle on DevOps frameworks and practices.

Salary Range

$96,400.00 - $162,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
