Job description
Colorado Eye Gallery in BOULDER, BROOMFIELD and DENVER, CO is looking for an optician/sales associate to join our team. We are located at 6545 Gunpark Dr #250, Boulder, CO, 520 Zang St., Suite I, Broomfield, CO and 2010 S. University Blvd. Denver, CO. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.
Responsibilities:
Primarily as below but not limited to:
Determines chief complaint, reviews medical history and updates as appropriate.
Records electronic data on instrumentation screens.
Performs testing:
o Measures visual acuity
o Visual field testing
o Lensometry
o Retinal photography
o Color vision testing
Determines proper frame measurements:
o pupillary distance for correct location of optical center
o determines proper location of bifocal segments
Verifies eyeglass lens powers by lensometry.
Transcribes frame measurements and eyeglass prescriptions to proper order forms.
Assist customers in frame and lens selection.
Orders and receives eyeglasses from optical laboratories.
Adjusts frames and lens positions to properly fit patients.
Performs basic eyeglass repairs.
Calibrate, clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
Stocks exam rooms with supplies, instruments and equipment.
Schedules patient testing as prescribed/requested.
Answers phones.
Qualifications
Experience preferred. Will train those with exceptional personality.
