Job description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring materials, products, and services to support our organization's production planning and materials management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our production goals and deliver high-quality products to our customers. Duties Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production needs and develop procurement plans Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities or risks Utilize procurement systems such as Oracle EBS and AS400 to track orders, payments, and supplier performance Skills Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and best practices Proficiency in using procurement software such as AS400, Oracle, or SAP Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms Solid understanding of production planning and materials management principles Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers About Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
