Construction Supervisor

System One is currently seeking a
Construction Supervisor on a 12 month contract located in Shakopee, MN.
Construction Supervisor Responsibilities: - Responsible for the construction of new pre-engineered metal building the foundations for it in the installation and commissioning of generating units and the BOP mechanical systems to support those.
- Work under the direction of the onsite construction manager.
- Responsible for the footings, foundations, and erection of the pre-engineered metal building; clad and pre-cast, installation of the pre-packed generating units and the installation and commissioning of the mechanical BOP systems to support the operations of those units and the facility itself.
- Preplanning, communicating with teammates, in addition to jobsite safety, working with contractors on daily task planning/work execution.
- Generation of checklists, reading though specs/drawings.
- Inspection of checklists.
- Working with engineering and quality control to ensure that they are meeting expectations regarding what we're witnessing, watching, etc. to ensure that the work is completed in an appropriate manner.
- Responsible for planning, execution and oversight of the work being done documenting milestones.
- The execution portion is office based (30%) with other 70% spent in the field doing daily inspections, observations (both work and safety) to comply with our expectations.
Construction Supervisor Requirements: - Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction project best practices.
- Must have the power generation construction (combustion turbine) experience in addition to BOP systems (mechanical systems experience)
- SAP would be helpful. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SharePoint.
- Experience with construction that pertains to power generation by combustion turbines, generators/Wasilla in addition to the BOP systems that support them.
- Must have strong mechanical background that again has the power generation experience on plant mechanical systems, water processing, air compressors, HVAC, fire protection, etc.
- Balance of plant mechanical experience but also experience laying foundations for structural steel.
- Familiarity with drawings/blueprints.
- Reading and comprehension of mechanical specs.
- 8-10 years experience.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Shakopee, MN
Pay Rate: $53-60.40/hr
PD offered to non-local candidates 6 AM to 4:30 PM; 6 days per week. OT required.
