The Opportunity : Join BAE Systems’ Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy’s Strategic System Program (SSP). This hybrid position requires at least 50% of pay period hours in the office (3 days one week/2 days one week).
The Role: As a Software Developer on our Team, you will be working to develop and maintain software that meets the needs of our clients. You will also ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing. This multifaceted role demands a deep understanding of software development, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will:
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Design and develop software solutions that meet business needs and project specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Conduct thorough testing of the developed software to ensure reliability, stability, and security.
- Collaborate with other team members through code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new tools and technologies to improve the development process.
- Contribute to the overall success of the development team by actively participating in meetings, providing input, and sharing knowledge.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills BAE has found that success in this position requires:
- Java, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
- Modern JS framework (such as Angular, Node, React or Vue)
- MySQL or other database technologies
- Proven experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
- Strong understanding of software development principles, best practices, and design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with at least two years of work experience; or equivalent position specific work experience.
- Ability to meet the requirements for an IAT II certificate as specified in the DoD 8570
- Or have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND the ability to meet the requirements for an IAT II as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date
- At least 50% of pay period hours in the office (three days one week/two days one week).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC) along with badge access to the customer’s facility, and to obtain and maintain a network account in good standing on the customer’s network
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with Drupal platform
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
