Crop Transformation Facility (CTF) Transformation Development Manager
Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology

Job Summary
This position will be responsible for designing, performing, and validating soybean transformation experiments with the aim of consistently improving transformation and regeneration efficiencies. Additionally, the role includes training colleagues and collaborating closely with the transformation pipeline manager and other team members to implement enhanced protocols. Overall, the position requires providing broad support and expertise to the team, ensuring an effective transformation workflow to meet service request deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities





Additional Physical Demands
Environmental Demands: Willingness to perform routine repetitive tasks in a laboratory with non-hazardous materials

Minimum Qualifications


Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline Experience: Experience in aseptic technique, microbial cell culture, plant transformation and tissue culture



Preferred Qualifications


Education: Master's degree in Biology or related discipline


Experience: Years of experience in plant transformation and tissue culture

Appointment Information


This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close date. The minimum salary for this position is $52,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
