Hours: 3:30-12:00 a.m.
Location: Sanford area
Pay: $17-22 per hour
Job Description: As a Truss Table Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee the operation of the truss table and ensure the efficient production of high-quality trusses. You will work closely with a team of truss table operators and collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to meet production targets and maintain product standards. Your role involves both hands-on operation of the truss table and leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities: - Operate the truss table and set up the necessary equipment for the production process. Follow production plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient truss assembly.
- Provide guidance, instruction, and supervision to the truss table operators. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on trusses to ensure they meet specifications and quality requirements. Identify and address any issues or defects in the truss assembly process promptly.
- Collaborate with the production planning team to prioritize and schedule truss production based on customer orders and project timelines. Monitor production progress and adjust workflows as needed to meet deadlines.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or operational issues. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to resolve technical problems and minimize downtime.
- Train new truss table operators on proper operation techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance the skills and productivity of the team.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, material usage, and any quality or safety incidents. Prepare reports on production performance and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Identify opportunities to optimize truss table operations, streamline processes, and improve productivity. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement enhancements and suggest design modifications for truss assembly.
