Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Road Daywork Division at Oliver Fire Protection & Security. This division is a key department in Oliver, reporting to the Executive Vice President/Owner, Steve Oliver. This division is responsible for the sale and execution of fire sprinkler renovation work in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- The Fire Protection Road Daywork Manager will meet planned growth, profit, and customer retention goals through leadership and management of staff
- The position will strive to exceed customer expectations by satisfying their needs in a timely, cost effective and high-quality manner
- Plan, organize, and staff key office and field positions to support overall department goals and objectives
- Schedule, assign, and direct work of department staff
- Sprinkler head layout and system design
- Review of specifications and bid documents
- Knowledge regarding NFPA and building codes related to fire protection
- Maintain sales information in CRM database
- Attend walk throughs, visit customers, and steady involvement with relevant associations
- Meet or exceed given sales goals, departmentally and individually
- Build customer relationships through prospecting and estimating
- Maintain team and personal bid load and meet expected bid dates
- Review construction contract documents and coordinate with general contractor/owner and sub-contractors, and gather the required information for design scope and shop drawing preparation
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication of job information
- Expedite information requests and make sure change estimates / change orders are
- conveyed in timely manner and are resolved.
- Provide a billing breakdown for AIA billings and bill jobs monthly in a timely manner
- Responsibility for collection of bills, A/R
- Issue all closeout documents including certifications & warranty, and As-Builts
Requirements
· Estimating and Project Management experience in the fire sprinkler industry or related
· Displayed excellence in managing a team of employees
· Ability to be prompt and courteous when interacting with co-workers and Clients
· Associates/Bachelor’s Degree
· Must have a vehicle and maintain a clean driving record with valid driver’s license
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) and BlueBeam
· Strong personal desire to succeed
· Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background verification check.
