WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Onsite Managed Service IT Engineer, you’ll provide daily IT support to a set of customer facing briefing centers and labs for a large telecommunications carrier. The environment consists of a robust audio/visual infrastructure as well as various, rotating technologies on display for demonstration purposes spanning three locations. You will get to work with the latest in telecom technology as well as maintain and operate the IT infrastructure for the three locations.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide administration and maintenance of IT equipment including, but not limited to, firewalls, routers, switches, PCs, Servers, wireless LAN devices
- Provide security administration and maintenance of IT equipment including, but not limited to, VPN, anti-virus, account and password reviews, firmware and operating system reviews
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and coordinate repairs to assigned IT and audio/visual equipment
- Create and maintain documentation as needed
- Provide client training as needed
- Provide assistance to various business groups and external vendors with integration, access and testing of new technology that is to be demonstrated while connected to the network
- Ensure compliance with all customer safety, security and procedural guidelines at all times
- Some travel required
- Other duties assigned as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- Minimum Cisco Certification CCNA or CCNP in routing and switching (special emphasis on wireless networking desired)
- Minimum five (5) years of experience managing and maintaining wired and wireless IP networks with Cisco routing and switching equipment
- Microsoft PC and Server Support
- Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Knowledge of IT Data Center and cabling standards
- Previous support of audio/visual environments
- Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues
- Ability to manage small to medium projects
- Ability to think and work independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
- Ability to proactively assess issues and suggest improvements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
- Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards

- Ubuntu and/or MacOS workstation support

- Cisco or other firewall experience
- Anti-virus administration
- ManageEngine Endpoint Central Server
- NetApp data storage (NCTA, NCDA, NCSE- *, NCIE-*)
- Mobile 5G/LTE device technologies
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio and video control
- Minor AV programming capability ( Crestron )
