Job description
We are seeking for a Software Engineer that is passionate about technology and who is motivated to help drive our customers’ and company mission forward. This individual will be a key member of a software development team translating real-world needs into technical solutions. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and able to balance simultaneous tasks while delivering quality results.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Utilizes well defined software processes, such as Agile, to work in a rapid development environment as part of a development team.
- Develop and modify applications, software, services, utilities, interfaces, and systems that support systems and analysts.
- Develop and implement software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 6 additional years of experience in information technology.
- Use packages as in BASH, CSS, DOS_BATCH, HTML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, PYTHON, SQL, XML, and Indexing/Search Technologies.
- Demonstrated experience developing with modern languages such as: Python, Ruby, Java, C#, Javascript, etc.
- Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies
- Working Knowledge of Web Mapping and Geospatial APIs such as Openlayers, ArcGIS JS API, leaflet, Geodatabase, etc.
- Ability to learn and implement new technologies
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical certification Network +, Security +, Oracle or specializing in Software Development, or Cloud Computing.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance preferred
