Department Overview IPVideo is the creator of the HALO Smart Sensor, a multifunctional safety and security device with built-in vape detection and air quality monitoring, gunshot detection, abnormal noise and motion detection and emergency keyword detection. The HALO Smart Sensor improves situational awareness and makes it possible to help protect people and spaces even where video security solutions are not permitted.
Job Description The Product Manager is responsible for leading the Company's strategic product objectives with our HALO Smart Sensor into new use cases and new markets. The Product Manager will be responsible responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Lead the product: Build deep understanding of our customers through the discovery process, translate insights into a product vision and detailed product requirements, prioritize relentlessly, define clear acceptance criteria, prioritize tradeoffs and drive our development teams to deliver quality products.
- Know the business of your products: Lead the employment and ongoing maturity of Pragmatic Marketing principals for your product. Ensure profitability, manage the investment across the lifecycle of your products, design and build for sales channels, ensure alignment with sales and services models.
- Be the recognized expert/spokesperson: Lead others with your vision - internally and externally, be the voice of your products in the building automation industry and customer conversations.
- Be the entrepreneur: Lead business case analysis development, leverage your deep product and customer knowledge to recommend new market opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES - As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the Business and Product Plans used to decide if an idea makes sound business sense and to persuade key stakeholders to invest in your ideas. Such plans should demonstrate the alignment with the long-term goals and objectives of the company.
- Create deep relationships with your target customers as the established expert for our products in the Health and Safety space.
- Establish, refine, and communicate through the business and to customers a shared understanding of the vision and roadmap planning for your products; ensure the prioritized backlog aligns to the roadmap plan.
- Guide the product discovery process to understand customer needs and solution requirements; generate and refine detailed user stories that guide prototype development.
- Work side-by-side with engineering to develop and test prototypes with target customers.
- Work side-by-side with marketing, sales, and support operations to facilitate two-way communication on business.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to support product development efforts. Answering such questions as: Addressable market and associated costs. What will customer buy and pay?
- Establish product goals in new vertical markets and manage - communicate progress across internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers of your products - profitability, pricing, services mix, sales channels, etc.
- Be the in-house expert for white papers, webinars, conference key notes and publication interviews.
QUALIFICATIONS - A minimum of 5+ years of Product Management experience within the security or building automation space with proven ability delivering products to market that achieve business results.
- Extensive relationships within the security or building automation space including end users and sales channels.
- Validation of expertise through prior white papers, keynotes and/or publications.
- Familiarity with security and or building automation systems and IoT markets a must.
- Can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision and drive results across cross functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree or greater.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills, and proven ability to run effective meetings - comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization.
- Not afraid of the details - need to be highly focused mitigating product development and market risk.
- Very strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence.
