What You’ll Do

Salem Leasing, one of the largest and most respected commercial truck leasing and maintenance companies in the US, is seeking a qualified Mobile Maintenance Mechanic (Diesel Truck Mechanic) at our Norcross, GA service location. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as an active Mechanic with mobile background experience!

The individual would be responsible for performing routine truck repairs and preventive maintenance on company lease fleet as well as what is requested by the Shop Manager.

Hours: Tues - Sat 11a - 7:30p

Responsibilities:

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
• Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes
• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
• Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined and other potentially troublesome areas
• Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals and experience
• Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
• Repair manual and automatic transmissions
• Replace and adjust headlights
• Complies with all safety, DOT and OSHA guidelines
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum five years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience
• Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.
• Must have own hand tools
• Basic computer skills
• CDL A or B license preferred
• Good driving record and proven work history
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures
