Overview A world class aerospace defense contractor conveniently located in Huntsville seeks a supply chain intern who will complete a 3 month summer internship learning the role of a "buyer" in a defense contract environment. This role will require the creation and issuing of solicitation packages, evaluation of quotes from suppliers, performing price analysis, and creating Purchase Orders/IDIQ long term contracts.
Responsibilities - Work with Supply Chain Personnel to expedite deliverables (paperwork, product, proposals, invoices, SDRLs, PO acknowledgements etc..) from Supply Base.
- Coordinate with Suppliers, IT and Quality Department to onboard suppliers into new quality portal.
- Assist with updating current Supply Chain procedures to prepare for the US Government audit/approval
- Work with various supply chain metrics and compile data
- Assist Supply Chain Department in preparing for transition into new ERP system. This will include Supply Chain/Procurement data clean up activities such as working with Vendor Master File, closing out of old Purchase Order and Purchase Order Line items and assistance setting up forms and attachments for electronic completion, routing and ease of storage in the new ERP system.

Education:
College Student pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance from a four year university (or recent college graduate). Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Junior or Senior Level College Student Preferred.
