Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Board of Directors (Board), develops and implements the strategic goals and objectives of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise (NNGE). Provides direction, leadership, and a vision for success to achieve NNGE's mission and strategic business plans while complying with all applicable tribal, state, and federal gaming laws and regulations. The CEO establishes the Naat’áanii and Hózho’ leadership approach by ensuring the continued financial viability and growth of the Enterprise. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field plus fifteen (15) years casino management experience in Class II and Class III gaming operations, and hotel/resort development. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a CEO and/or COO in a casino/hotel resort environment required. Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred. Tribal Gaming experience required. Must possess a strong financial and marketing background. Extensive experience in expansion, product and business development, and opening of new properties to include prior experience in working directly with selected Architects, Contractors, and/or owner representatives on the development of casino/hotel resorts required. Valid driver’s license. Must meet all knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain in good standing a gaming license. Navajo preference.
