Job Description Insight Global is in search of an Energy Marshal and 2 Assistant Energy Marshals that will work onsite in Mount Pleasant, WI. The Energy Marshal plays a pivotal role in enhancing the safety and efficiency of our clients energy isolation program at a datacenter construction campus. This individual ensures that all energy isolation activities are conducted in accordance with established safety protocols, offering assurance and oversight to ensure compliance with Microsoft safety policy requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assurance Oversight: Ensure vendors and contractors adherence to the Energy Isolation Program, validating its alignment with Microsofts safety policies. Program Implementation: Utilize SPS-101 Energy Isolation SPS and Guidebook as foundational tools for implementing the Energy Isolation Program across the campus. Process Management: Establish and manage an assurance process, collaborating with site teams to address any identified gaps through audits. Risk Assessment: Actively participate in High Risk Activity planning meetings related to energy isolation, ensuring comprehensive risk mitigation. Approval Protocols: Oversee the approval process for proposed energy isolation procedures, ensuring thorough review and authorization. Permit Process Management: Collaborate with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to institute an effective Energy Isolation Permit process. Document Review: Ensure thorough review of SoWs, MOPs, and Scripts, identifying all sources of energy involved in operations. Training Verification: Confirm qualifications, training records, and PPE of personnel involved in energy isolation tasks. Operational Coordination: Liaise with MS Operations during energy isolation activities that could impact operating datacenter core operations. Skills and Requirements 6+ years of technical engineering experience Experience running large jobs, overseeing larges crews and understanding the codes Ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure design of LOTO systems is 100% effective and in compliance with Client standards Experience with the operation and maintenance of building MEP systems. (Power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, life safety, including NFPA 70E, controls systems and sprinkler systems) Hands on experience with both how to install but also QA/ management experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Experience in critical environment and industry standards and practices Ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers Experience in the Control of Hazardous Energy in complex mission critical infrastructure Understanding of electrical theory and practical application via your maintenance & operation of critical electrical equipment. (Paralleling switchgear, redundant UPS systems, DC battery strings, multi-source electrical utility switchgear, standby diesel generators, etc.) Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.) Practical experience with building management systems and automation, controls & frameworks. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
