Job description
Vista Community Clinic is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic providing care in a comprehensive, high quality setting. - Assist community residents in completing eligibility and application packets for healthcare insurance enrollment or renewal
- Instruct clients on the documents necessary for the eligibility process, and provide an overview of available healthcare insurance options
- Act as a liaison between the patient, healthcare insurance group, and VCC for enrollment information, and for maintenance of healthcare insurance
Minimum
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Willingness and ability to complete certification as a Covered California Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC)
- Minimum two years' of experience in the customer service or social service fields, or in community volunteer work
- Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Covered California Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC)
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Knowledge of community health centers, public assistance programs, state and federal regulations and managed care systems
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Basic computer knowledge, internet use and MS Office
Pay Range
$18.50-$20.75
