The Governing Board of Antelope Union High School District announces a search for a new Superintendent/Principal. Qualified applicants are invited to apply for this exceptional opportunity. Community Profile The Antelope Union High School District serves a large area of eastern Yuma County. We are located 30 miles east of Yuma, Arizona which has a population of over 100,000 residents. The school is withing two hours of the Phoenix metro area and three hours from San Diego. The district is comprised mostly of students whose families have deep roots in the community. Our rural district has a land area of over 3,000 square miles and has a great opportunity for future growth. We currently serve a population of around 200 students from the three surrounding elementary districts: Wellton Elementary in Wellton, Mohawk Valley Elementary in Roll, and Dateland Elementary in Dateland. We are an agricultural community which includes the largest feed lot in the state and the most productive farmland in Arizona. During the winter months most of the produce produced in the United States comes from Yuma County. The district is currently experiencing growth in assessed value with numerous solar plants and large businesses being built or planned.
