WAGE:$150,000-$200,000 DOE

Join LEAD Staffing as we seek a dynamic Operations Manager for our esteemed client specializing in curbs and sidewalks construction in the vibrant Tampa Bay Area. Our client is a subsidiary of one of the nation's largest manufacturers and distributors of construction materials.
ROLE SUMMARY
Based in Bradenton, FL, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all projects and leading teams. The incumbent will be directly responsible for project development, quoting, planning, equipment/material ordering, execution by installation teams, and ensuring project profitability. Additionally, this role encompasses all aspects of manpower planning, recruitment, selection, development, and retention for both administrative and construction crews. The Operations Manager will also be instrumental in expanding revenue by actively soliciting and securing new business opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Grow revenue by actively seeking site construction project RFPs from new and existing clients.
Estimate and price labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor work for project completion.
Provide clear and concise project quotes through meticulous planning and execution.
Identify potential constructability issues in project design and construction phases, ensuring proactive coordination.
Develop construction crew schedules and oversee adherence to plans and specifications.
Efficiently prepare job sites by ordering required materials and scheduling equipment deliveries.
Take decisive actions to address delays, adverse weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
Establish, promote, and enforce site-specific safety and quality standards.
Address customer concerns, implement corrective actions, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Oversee the hiring, training, and management of all team members and subcontractors.
Manage equipment and truck maintenance in compliance with safety regulations.
Ensure timely billing and effective collection activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
5 to 10 years of construction operations management experience in site development, road construction, or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Language Skills: Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer correspondence, job proposals, site drawings, and construction plans.
Math Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts necessary for accurate construction project bidding and quoting.
Work Environment: Comfortable working in various conditions, including exposure to wet/humid weather and proximity to heavy equipment and machinery.
Solid understanding of construction, particularly in site development.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes.
Experience in proposal preparation, budget development, forecasting, and financial management.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Excellent client management and goodwill-building capabilities.
Competent in conflict and crisis management.
High focus on delivering quality results.
Flexibility to work outside normal hours and on weekends, as required.
