Job description
Small but busy private optometry practice is excited to announce we are looking to bring on an additional Optometric Technician who wants to grow with our small but growing optometry practice! We are looking for a full-time experienced Optometric Technician to join our friendly practice. Candidates considered with at least one year of prior optometric/optical field experience. Looking for a full-time candidate ONLY.
Our office is open Monday through Thursday (9am - 5pm) and Friday (8am - 5pm). We are open one Saturday each month (9am - 2pm). We are closed all major Federal holidays (with pay). We are a laid back office and believe in work/life balance.
Pay is based on experience and merit. We conduct a 90-day, 6 month, and 1 year performance review.
Candidates considered with at least one year of prior optometric/optical field experience. Looking for a full-time candidate ONLY.
Position: Optometric Technician
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
-Pre-testing to include auto refraction, NCT/iCare tonometry, and visual acuities
-Prescription data entry including lensometry and contact lenses
-Patient history with medication and reason for visit
-Contact lens training insertion and removal
-Diagnostic testing including OCT, Visual field perimetry, Pachymetry and Fundus photography
-Clerical duties to include front desk phone answering and patient scheduling
