Job description
As a Residential Interior Selections Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the interior selections process for residential projects. Working closely with clients, designers, vendors, and contractors, you will ensure the efficient selection and procurement of materials, finishes, and furnishings according to project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for design, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to understand project requirements, design preferences, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate and track the selection of materials, finishes, fixtures, appliances, and furnishings for residential projects.
- Research and source vendors, obtain quotes, and negotiate pricing for selected items.
- Create and maintain detailed procurement schedules, ensuring timely delivery of selected items.
- Review and analyze documentation such as blueprints, specifications, and design plans to ensure accurate selection and ordering of materials.
- Create and maintain records of selected items, including specifications, costs, and lead times.
- Work closely with the accounting department to track project budgets, process invoices, and manage payments to suppliers.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders or deliveries.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product offerings, and pricing to ensure competitive and cost-effective selections.
- Coordinate and schedule site visits with clients to review and confirm selected materials and make any necessary revisions.
- Provide regular updates to clients, designers, and contractors on the status of selections and purchases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in residential interior selections coordination and purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles and materials.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
