Job description

The Mountaineer Program invites Scouters to the Summit to volunteer as part of our unpaid staff. As part of the program, you will provide a minimum of six days service in supporting our operations. Room and board provided. One full day off is provided for every six days of service.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be currently registered member of the BSA
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Have valid and current Youth Protection Training
• Fulfill all obligations contained within the volunteered position reporting to that area's Director
• Provide valid credential or certificate of training (if applicable)
• Activity based volunteer positions required a weight limit between 50-250lbs and lifting up to 60lbs
• Non-activity based volunteer positions require lifting up to 50lbs

Available Positions:

Individuals who wish to work for positions that require credentials (i.e. Aerial, Shooting Sports, Lifeguards, etc.) must provide proof of training and hold that credential before arrival. The Summit does not provide certificate level training for unpaid staff. During the application process, you will select three preferred department areas and provide details on why you want each role and the skills you have for each role.
