Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to lead a team to achieve financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Prepare accurate financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits, addressing any audit findings promptly.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting principles and communicate impacts to the organization.
Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet the organization's operational needs.
- Optimize working capital by monitoring receivables, payables, and inventory levels.
- Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development opportunities.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide insights into financial trends and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
