Description:
Day shift (6AM-2:30PM) CMM Programmer/Inspector needed for machine shop in Santa Ana, CA. $38-$45 an hour in pay based on experience. Will need experience programming PC-DMIS or operating CMM machines.
Details:
• Develop, maintain, and generate CMM programs to verify first article, in process, and final product of various complex and critical components to customer, engineering, and quality specifications.
• Prove CMM programs using PC-DMIS simulation software to prevent crashes.
• Tracking, documentation, and reporting of CMM data, inspection observations and interpretations.
• Work as a team by openly collaborating with inspectors, machinists, engineers, and other fellow team members.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean inspection tools to ensure accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Participate in continuous improvement projects for the quality assurance department and Senga Engineering.
• Perform all assignments in accordance with AS9100:D, ITAR, and all other regulatory requirements.
• Review, refine, set-up new and repeat CMM programs on the production floor, in quality assurance, and the engineering room.
• Troubleshoot issues with CMM during in-process production inspection
• Review and schedule CMM loading for in-process CMM inspection on the shop floor
• Write Keyence programs for Keyence IM system measurement routines
• Using CAD modeling to design Tools, Jigs, and Fixtures for CMM inspection.
• Creating work instructions for machinist, inspectors, and operators for setting up parts on the CMM.
• Work with the engineering team and IT personnel to ensure that all software is at the latest version.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
ITAR compliant
• Must have 5+ years with CMM programming
• Must have 5+ years with first article inspection, in-process inspection
• Advanced proficiency with PC-DMIS (2017 or newer)
• Advanced knowledge in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
• Must understand Datum Alignments, Degrees of Freedom, and basic PC-DMIS alignments ( 3-2-1 alignment, read point alignment, iterative alignment, and CAD transform )
• Must know to utilize common inspection fixturing and equipment related for CMM inspection (precision vice clamps, surface plates, and pegs)
• Experience CAD modeling
• Must know CMM programming in Offline Mode
• Must have experience with CMM probe tips (star, shank, disc, scanning), calibration, and probe rack
• Must have experience troubleshooting CMM hardware and software issues
• Proficient with CAD Drafting software Solidworks (or similar software).
• PC-DMIS training certificates are a plus.
